Benefits of Colombian
All Colombian Coffee is 100% mild washed Arabica, thus making Colombia the biggest producer of high quality coffee in the world. The reputation of our coffee is not limited to the coffee species we grow in Colombia or to its post harvesting processes. Our coffee is also known all over the world due to the environmental conditions of Colombia, and the quality control and support systems that have been designed by the Colombian coffee growers. They make sure Colombian Coffee always meets the quality needed for the consumers around the world. These combined elements ensure that Colombian Coffee is unique.
Colombian Coffee is also the result of the hard work of over 563,000 small coffee families owned by independent coffee growers. The farmers have organized themselves through the Colombian Coffee Growers Federation (FNC) and have agreed to self-imposed quality control standards that are carefully followed. Together, Colombian coffee growers have built a collective commitment to quality. These are the reasons why Colombian Coffee, or Café de Colombia, is protected with a Denomination of Origin, a certification mark or Protected Geographical Indication in several countries. Colombian Flavour
Colombian coffee is characterized by a smooth, rich flavor profile with nutty undertones, but that’s just a general flavor profile. In truth, most Colombian coffee is a blend of coffee beans from many different regions that are mixed and blended.
Colombian coffee beans are exclusively Arabica beans, which have a smoother, less acidic flavor profile than Robusta coffee beans. They are also harder to grow and have strong preferences for growing conditions. As ‘gourmet’ coffees go, Colombian coffees are relatively inexpensive.
Santander Province
Santander is a region in the northeast of Colombia and was one of the entry points of coffee to the country in the 19th century. Due to the intense and extended dry seasons that characterize the region, coffee is shade-grown mostly under the native forest.
Besides providing suitable conditions for producing excellent quality coffee, the region is also recognized as an important hub for biodiversity.
Coffee produced in Santander has a good balance and a medium-high acidity and body which provide a strong character to the beverage. The sweet, fruity and herbal notes, delicate and citric sensations, and exquisite flavor that characterize Santander´s coffee make for a complex cup.

Carolina’s Colombia Single Origin
The altitude ranges from 1,250 meters to 1,450 meters above sea level so we experience diversity in climate right on the farm. The slopes are fairly steep. There is ample water and plenty of shade – mostly from older and large canopy trees. The soil is thick from centuries of falling canopy cover and fruits. Our coffee has a clear chocolate taste with a hint of natural sweetness to it. Suggested roast is medium.
